M I C H A E L' S
Michael Walkowiec (father) immigrated to the USA after WWII. Ukrainian born but trained in Germany from Europes finest craftsmen. Upon arriving in Youngstown, he worked for various contractors until he opened his own shop on Steel Street, on the West Side of Youngstown in 1960. Michael later moved his shop to Salt Springs Road.
In 1975 Michael (son) worked under his father's training until 1984 when his father retired. In 1992 Michael moved his shop to its present location of 1739 Mahoning Avenue, Youngtown, Ohio.
In 1995 Michael added pre-manufactured cabinets to his business. He is the local dealer for RICH MAID KABINETRY , CANDLELIGHT CABINETRY AND TRU-WOOD CABINETS .
Michael's Cabinet Shop is the only place to get Custom Made Cabinets, Pre-Manufactured Cabinets or Solid Wood Refacing.
Michael's staff includes: Nick the "In-Shop Helper", Tom the "Installation & Do-It-All Man", and newly added, "Big Al."
Michael's family consists of: Crystal his wife, Delia his 8 year old daughter and Zenin his 5 year old son.
2010 brings the "50th Anniversary" of this family owned business. It has also brings an expansion by adding "Michael's Cabinet Designs" (an exquisite showroom) located in Boardman.
